God With You

God with you
-
God with you when you’re hurting, lonely, lost, or unfound.
-
God with you in the light, the dark… in the morning focusing, the evening growing dim.
-God with you in your thoughts about where you come from, where you are going, your thoughts about who you are, who you would like to be.
-God with you when circumstances change, when you change your mind, when you change your intention, when life changes.
-God with you when they say you can’t, you won’t, you aren’t, you don’t.
-God with you when you are shamed, looked down upon, scapegoated, made to be the source of the problem.
-God with you when your heart is broken, when your family’s broken, your dreams broken, when the way you thought it was going to be just never materialized.
-God with you when you’re trying to figure out your body, to figure out your thoughts, figure out your feelings, your sexuality, motives.
-God with you when they say God is with them and their standards, their rules, their unified judgment… come to think of it… maybe God is with you most of all when they say God is with them.
God with you.
