Help Me to be Thankful

Help me to be thankful

not so quick to assign blame
lay the problems at your feet
throw the problems at your feet
and stare
eventually take them back
project them onto others
another way of laying the problems at your feet
(except, there’s no one to blame)

Possibilities–promise and hope.
Are always cloaked in possibilities–pain and chaos
Enmeshed, entwined, entangled
I always want one without the other
I always want the impossible

The world doesn’t owe me anything
You don’t owe me anything
You give life

Help me to be thankful
